Dr. Cyndee Ayson-Mitchell graduated from Tulane Medical School and completed her internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women’s Hospital, University of Southern California. She completed her residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse, where she received the prestigious “Robert Nesbit Medical Resident Award” and the “Roerig President’s Award” for medical excellence. Dr. Mitchell is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Cyndee Ayson-Mitchell believes a fully informed patient makes better choices and participates more actively in her own health management. Extensive discussions with her patients are an integral part of the treatment decisions. Dr. Mitchell strives to improve her patient’s internal health by utilizing a combination of dietary and hormonal management. Dr. Mitchell utilizes her gynecologic expertise and works closely with Dr. Ellithorpe to provide her patients with a comprehensive well-woman program and improve their overall health and well-being. As a credentialed NAMS (North American Menopause Society) Menopause Practitioner, she is uniquely qualified to treat women going through menopause and who have hormone imbalances.
Dr. Mitchell offers a full range of gynecologic care, including pap smear, colposcopy, STD screening, contraception, infertility, menstrual irregularity, endometriosis, pelvic pain, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and more.
